Objectives of the Seminar:

1. To rediscover the disabled child as a person first
2. To consider the disabled person’s place in our society
3. To advocate for the disabled person

8:15 – 9:00 am	Introduction by Ms Prue Lingham, Organsing Chairperson, CHILD
9:00 – 5:00 pm	DISABILITY EQUALITY AND RIGHTS TRAINING (ONE DAY COURSE) presented by Ms Sue Rickell, a Qualified Disability Equality Trainer (DET), Joint Honors Degree in Sociology and Social Administration (Durham, U.K.). Projects include a 10-week training project in 2006 with the Laos Disabled Peoples Association; Consultant on Independent Living for people with severe and complex learning difficulties (2004-05) and Researcher on the Employment of Disabled People in Somerset, U.K. (2004).
